At 2939 metres above sea level, the two worlds merge. The point where the ski slopes end and the hiking trails begin in summer marks the boundary between snow-covered landscapes and sheer rock faces. Here the Matterhorn appears to us from a completely different perspective until the return to Breuil-Cervinia.
